Blue Ridge Energy Board Members Honored for Service at NC Electric Cooperatives Annual Meeting

Three officials from Blue Ridge Energy were recently recognized for their years of commendable service to the electric cooperative at the annual meeting of North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives in Raleigh, NC. Those honored for their service include:
- Doug Johnson, Chief Executive Officer, 40 years
- David Eggers, Caldwell Board Member, 15 years
- J.B. Lawrence, Watauga Board Member, 15 years
North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives is a family of organizations that support the 26 electric cooperatives located throughout the state, including Blue Ridge Energy.
These not-for profit, member-owned cooperatives provide reliable, safe and affordable electricity to 2.5 million North Carolinians in 93 of North Carolina’s 100 counties. They are also committed to delivering new energy solutions and improving quality of life in the communities they serve.
Blue Ridge Energy is a cooperative utility serving some 75,000 members in Caldwell, Watauga, Ashe, Alleghany, Avery, Wilkes and Alexander counties. Blue Ridge Energy’s Propane and Fuels subsidiary offers gas hearth and home products as well as residential and business propane and fuel from the cooperative’s offices in Lenoir, Boone, West Jefferson, Spart
