Hunt Joins Blue Ridge Energy as Manager of Training and Organizational Development
Blue Ridge Energy has announced that Christopher Hunt of Granite Falls has joined the cooperative as Manager of Training and Organizational Development.
Hunt brings a wealth of experience in the design, delivery and administration of learning and development resources for all levels of the organization. He recently retired from a 30-year career with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety where his most recent position was Human Resources Deputy Director for Performance and Organizational Development. Throughout his career, he held various other positions with responsibility for staff development and training.
At Blue Ridge Energy, Hunt is responsible for creating and implementing training and development programs to enhance or build critical skills and competencies. He will assess training needs, develop multi-faceted learning opportunities and measure training effectiveness of all levels of employees.
Hunt holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina—Pembroke. He is also a Certified Mediator.
Hunt resides in Granite Falls with his wife, Michelle, who is a teacher at Hudson Elementary School.
